Because we have historically been trained to please/entertain them. They get to be comfortable and functional (see flat shoes shoes), without painting their face and nails, curling their hair etc.
It is a waste of women’s time, and we should stop wearing costumes to entertain them.
And historically we as women needed to do that to secure our financial well-being. But that hasn't been the case for a long time now. So surely you do understand that a vast majority of us dress any way we like because WE LIKE IT. I like to have long hair that is not gray. I like to have nicely manicured nails, I like to wear dresses.

NP. At this juncture, it’s really difficult to entangle whether it’s just for us or whether it’s because we like the reaction.

Same poster. I was another NP.
Again, who cares? Some days I dress in sweats and t-shirts because I want to be comfortable. I go to the grocery store dressed like that. Other occasions, I want to look put together and feminine so I wear something that shows off my body. Think a date night or a party. It looks flattering and I feel more confident. I guess by that logic, women who are dressing in frumy clothing are doing it to repel men which is just as asinine assumption. Perhaps dress the way you like and don't worry about what everyone else is going?

Does it really matter?

It's always disconcerting when the body is good from behind and they turn around and it's you grandmother's face.
Most people aren't grandmothers in their 40s, but apparently you come from a teen mom background.

If you are courting sexual attention from strangers, don’t complain that they treat you like a sex object.

I don't wear revealing clothes a lot, but in the right settings, he's all for it. Either because it makes him randy, or he enjoys the subtle attention I get from other men. It's fun sometimes to live a little.
Always wonder if men who love their wife wearing revealing clothes and getting attention from strangers also want them to sleep with a third or watch them with a third
No. My DH has no input on what I wear, whatsoever. He tells me his opinions on lots of things, as I do to him - but neither one of us is beholden to the other.
That said, when I periodically put on something revealing, he definitely gets turned on. I normally dress pretty well - but in a more classy/cute way. But I have a few things that are revealing that i wear on occasion, and he enjoys that. Like, at our big holiday party last year, I wore a bright red romper that was neither low cut nor tight, but looked amazing on me in heels - and it had a peephole between my breasts. I only decided to wear it last minute, needed a bra - and the only one that really worked was matching-color sexy french lace bra, that if you were standing from the right angle, you could see my pretty perfectly perky B-cup breasts and a hint of bra. It was hot. DH was into it, and he enjoyed seeing a few of our male friends give me extra attention that night. We had wonderful, exhausted sex at 2am after the party, in large part because of the peephole. DH is not a weirdo who wants to invite neighbors into the bedroom, but he also enjoys that his almost age 50 wife can command a room like that.... We don't get to live like that every day, so why not have fun sometimes?
