We all got on the phone Friday morning. None of us had bothered listening to pundits and spin doctors. We all said the same thing.

“He’s not with it. He’s too old. He needs to step aside”
We saw what we saw, so miss me with your media talking points.

That is not the question. You need to choose trump or Biden. If you sit it out, you are not protecting your family. My family will be much better off under Biden so I need to try to give them that. If you want the con artist, then choose trump and protect your family from Biden.

This is a tired talking point and I don't get people like you. I'm not voting for Trump, but do I want a senile POTUS? No, and neither should you. Why is it ok with you? Demand better.

It’s not a talking point. It’s his voting works.

If you don't vote for Trump, but also don't vote for Biden, by default the numbers will be in Trump's favor and you will have a senile President Trump in charge.

It was the responsibility of the Dems to put up a competent candidate, but instead they put up someone whose mental acuity is clearly in decline and will only get worse as the years go on. If they wanted me to cast an affirmative vote for a Dem they needed to do way better than this. I won’t vote for Trump but I cannot vote for Biden either. If that is tantamount to voting for Trump then they need to take a look in the mirror and figure out why they thought running an old man with fading cognitive abilities was the answer.

Relax, the Dems will put up a competent candidate after Biden's announcement which is coming sooner than later. That competent candidate will crush Trump because let's not forget who and what Trump is. We don't need a superman candidate. Just an average one.

No, but it needs to be the right one. Newsom will not win for instance.

Have you paid attention to Newsom lately? In the past year or two, he has really tacked right, from left to center. Possibly with presidential aspirations but I think more out of pragmatism for what needs to be done in his state.

Nothing about his recently passed budget was right to center. He has destroyed the economics in his own state.

No, but it needs to be the right one. Newsom will not win for instance.

Newsom, as a Californian politician, would be a poor choice against a legitimate GOP opposition candidate. Let's not forget how awful and weak Trump is as a candidate. His only chance at winning is Biden remaining in the race. Newsom would easily beat Trump.

Every poll putting Trump up against Newsom has shown Trump winning handily (4-14 points).

The Dems will?

What about the primaries? Why have them if you're going to replace my candidate willy-nilly?

Biden won't be "replaced", silly. He will announce that he won't accept the party nomination in 2024. That's the right thing for him to do and the only way we'll be guaranteed not to have Trump back in The White House.

I liked our country better when no electoral result was guaranteed. Politicians actually had to earn the votes. Now it’s becoming more Soviet with every election cycle, what with the predetermined results as seen in 2020 and the 2024 Democratic primary.

I'm not so sure. He comes across as sociopathic, and very much like a young Trump.
