Ha! My senior got screwed the first birth year change and now he’s off to colllege and they move it back. Really was a huge disadvantage being a trapped player.

It's the job of the coach to build a program years out, so yes, they should be looking at birthates and notaing who to keep an eye on for the future. Who are the 08/09 players playing with the 07s? I don’t think you understand how recruiting works. Coaches can’t build rosters years out. Coaches are also looking to get promoted to higher levels so coaches change all the time, they can get fired no job is guaranteed, the soccer programs budget could change, the transfer portal is more open now and NIL has changed recruiting.

The money is not there in college soccer programs to build rosters years out this ain’t college football or college basketball.

yea, but just not electronically. They stood on a soap box in front of ECNL headquarters and said so. This is confirmed by the guy with the trapped player that is starting all of these "discussions" on every soccer page (hint, if you want us to believe it is not all the same person, try uses different subject lines).

Also confirmed that identical twins only count as 1 spot on a roster.

The younger more talented kids playing up have the advantage.
Not the older kid playing down.

All ECNL has to do is add graduating year to the team roster. Achieves the same result.

Folks really don’t know how college recruiting works. Coaches don’t just attend a showcase game, roster in hand, and look for players who catch their attention. They come to specifically watch the players they have already been communicating with. They have seen their game film, know which games they are in, know their number, and yes, know when they are graduating.

Not that huge. Been there done that.
