The most difficult admit among your list is Northwestern University.

The easiest for ED might be Notre Dame, Davidson College, & U Chicago.

OP: You should designate which schools in your list offer ED 2 rather than making readers & posters research that for you.

Middlebury accepted 425 ED1 this year.

897 kids take part in at least one sport. That number usually shrinks as you go up in years (due to injury or loss of interest), but let's say 25% per grade even though that's probably low for first years. So 225 are athletes.

Still nowhere near the 70 percent of the class that is accepted early. Middlebury has one of the biggest acceptance rate differences between ED and RD of any SLAC.

If you want a SLAC then ED to Middlebury and you are in and don't have to worry.

Rice also has ED2 now!

If its a hard/well known and well regarded private school (e.g., feeder), 3.8uw is generally a good GPA for T11-25.

We have kids at our private get into all those schools w 3.8. But we have massive grade deflation. 3.8 is very good at some schools. Would only knock HYPSM out of contention, unless hooked.
