Also consider that things may ease up a bit in the next two years. Population of hs graduates drops after 2025.

Yes on the Jesuits. Marquette and Loyola Chicago not only accepted my DC but offered her merit money!

+1 Both are fine schools with good supports.

Loyola Maryland as well

It's a public school named after the town where it's located

I thought that was an Honors College for u-MD students?

Mount Saint Mary's (Catholic) in Emmitsburg could be a contender.

It’s for anyone who wants to apply. But yes, it’s a state school. It is not UMD’s honors college - I think UMD has one on campus, right? St Mary’s is less selective. Its is also beautiful, a good education, and an all around great school.

My kid EDd at CNU and was admitted. First choice + in state tuition. Other options were York College of PA, Miami Ohio, Loyola Maryland, George Mason as a reach, Quinnipiac, Drexel, Dayton, Butler, U of Ohio, WVU, Vermont, Denver as a reach, Lynchburg, Delaware as a reach.

Indiana is too big and doesn't provide good support for struggling students. Try Kansas State, Oklahoma State University, Ball State University, etc.

Not anymore.

+2 College of Charleston is getting more difficult to get into. Also, it has a weird gender imbalance (67% girls & 33% boys).

Pitt? No way. My 3.8uw/4.4w DD was waitlisted. OP’s kids stats are a little low for Pitt.

On the other hand, my 3.5 unweighted DS got into Pitt.

Depends on Major--on our FCPS Naviance I see some 3.4s getting in--assuming they aren't CS.
also apply in August for best chances.
