My husband orders his bialies this way and talk about having to translate english to english.

I also find that cold cut counters in DC/MoCo do not understand what thin-slice means. Even if I request the meat “shaved,” (which I don’t want - I want thin-slice), they shave the first few pieces and then revert to a thicker slice.

Life is tough.

I am from ny and need my double toasting and agree - it rarely gets done right but single toasting to straight out because they have their toasters on fast speeds and it’s too light. And bagels here are not as good so can’t have it in toasted back in Ny I actually have them I toasted because they are so fresh they don’t need toasting.


Bagels are manna from God and how dare you say they are evil.
