The "UNDER" refers to August to July.
U15 is 2009. They don't become U16 until August 2024.
If there is a 2010 picked to play with the 2009s that means there is a U14 playing on the U15 team as of June 2024.

That team will become U16 in August 2024

Watching the both games Spain is clearly the superior team with the best players. Maybe one fullback on the US team would start on Spain but many would not even make the squad. When your fullback is the best player on your team your team is not very good.

Great analysis of Spain strategy for second game. Reminds me of how the small minded soccer fans analyze pre conference collegiate soccer. Those mostly meaningless gains include far too many machinations to enumerate…suffice it to say the moron masses are blinded by the almighty W or draw…lol

Hmm, i think the Us are confusing since it's a birth year things.
US Soccer just announced a U16 roster going to Germany the other day. That entire roster is 2008s.

The U15s would be 2009s. This camp brought in a 2010.

It's training camp scrimmages.
Coaches are working on specific concepts and tactics whilst evaluating players, on both sides.

It's deeper than "our style is lacking" it's that what you are calling a style hasn't worked for pro teams at the highest levels for 10-20 years. It's worked for the USWNT because for the most part other countries didn't care about women's soccer. Now they do and Spain is proving that America needs to get with the times.
