My answer is that women can and often do get hotter as they age.
Just yesterday we had some afternoon delight that was nothing short of mind blowing for us both. I have never in my life been as attracted to someone as I am to her, and I have definitely had some great relationships.
We are both in good, but not near perfect, shape, healthy, and average looking, but happy and self confident. She has survived cancer and had a double mastectomy. So why do I find her hot?
She is enthusiastic and open in the bedroom, often initiates, and is incredibly smart (I want to hear what she has to say about any subject). She has a very positive attitude about life and that alone is very attractive.
So yes, women in their 40's and beyond are still hot.
I’m love this for her— and you!

Then worked a shitty job lots of hours less working out and then o had a kid and recovered from that and looked good again at 40. Now it’s been a slow slide fighting weight gain and at 49 I look ok for my age but that’s it. I really have to watch what I eat or I get a belly. Thanks perimenopause. My face is ok I stayed out of the sun and get Botox now. But I do not look better than my peak no way.
Op here. I am also in a slow slide downhill right now. I am working out more and eating healthier than before but that isn’t enough. I was able to drop down to my pre pregnancy weight so I was the same weight at 30 and 40. Now I’m +10 pounds. I know gaining 10 pounds in 15 years after birthing 3 children isn’t bad but it feels bad after being thin my whole life.
It’s actually REALLY good for your bones to have 10 extra pounds now, especially if you are within normal BMI range.

OP here. I was very attractive in my twenties. I am well maintained and probably look better than most women in our mid- late forties. However, there is no way I look better now than when I was 25. I used to walk into clubs and get guys hitting on me constantly daily on the street, elevator, grocery store. That does not happen to me now.
PP here. What I meant was that I stack up better against my fellow 40 somethings than I did against my fellow 20 somethings, I think. I suspect it’s because apparently (according to people guessing my age over the years) I have looked 35 for the past 20 years. Not fun when I was younger, but now that I am older I feel I have finally aged into my looks, so to speak.

I’m not saying women can’t look good into their fifties but do they ever look better after 40 than when they were younger in their twenties or thirties. No one looks better as an older lady.
That isn't true and what about old men? Most old men are fugly but no let's trash older women!
Op boo!

Happens to me at 46. Did not happen in my 20s. I think it is confidence level. And I was too skinny.
Women who were skinny in their twenties often have some nice curves in their forties. And men are simple creatures. They notice the curves.
