The teachers don’t know their left hand from their right anymore because everything has been flipped so upside down. Please I would love for some advice on what else parents can do.
Go to the local newspapers.

No way, man! Don't crowd up South Lakes. It's working on a decent reputation now and doesn't need to become overcrowded.
You should welcome this. Kids that transfer come from very involved helicopter-ish parents who will benefit the school's test scores. Overcrowded schools are actually desirable in FCPS.

This is why the principal had no problem steamrolling over the parents.
It is time to change the boundaries between Langley and Herndon.
Weren’t people saying on this thread that sbg has also been a nightmare at Madison? Seems like, again, it’s not a vocal parent issue.
The school board and gatehouse are more interested in allowing principals to make a name for themselves by piloting their programs for fake equity rather than listening to the kids actually hurt by SBG. It is happening at Madison and Herndon right now but coming to the rest of the county unless they can be stopped.

Unlike students who passed version D of the same test, after seeing it three times in a row. It is not fair. Herndon teacher.
The idea is that grading, in general, creates disparity or in more relevant terms inequities. Ultimately, I think proponents of SBG systems and systems like it would prefer no grades at all; it should be about whether the student learned the material. Performance-based evaluation, e.g., who learned what faster or better, is unnecessary.
Of course, this leads to questions about what happens after high school, specifically with college admissions and even the workforce. If everyone is equal, then the sky is limit... lol.

I mean tests are ok, but we should look at decolonizing science and turn to other ways of knowing.
Exactly. You get the gist.

I know a family that lives in the shadow of Herndon High School and are zoned for Langley, 12 miles away. Ridiculous what these snobs get away with.
12 miles which is an hour commute down Georgetown Pike or Rt -7. Ridiculous.

Current Assistant Principal was the one who got arrested for grand larceny after shoplifting at Target. Herndon hired her.
Standard based instruction this year brought down test scores in all but the failing kids. Principal lied and said FCPS made her do it. Parents are pissed off
The principal from Loudoun you’re referring to is the current principal of Herndon MS, not HS. She is terrible

Everyone already knows that the school board is “holier than thou.”

That is ridiculous. If I was a parent there, I wouldn’t stop screaming until things changed.
That is one of the reasons the PTA President and others quit recently. They sent a letter to the principal and FCPS. They were told they were too entitled. Uhhhh. The colleges are giving a higher grade than the bastardized SBG system she implemented yielded. I wish I was making this up. The principal is a one woman wrecking crew.
