Yeah can’t believe people are getting it prescribed who weight 155 or less. Not cool when there is a shortage

I’m trying to eat healthy foods (one piece seeded high fiber bread with 1/2 avocado, low fat Greek yogurt with psyllium husk, chia seeds and berries, salmon and sweet potato is a typical day) Very small portions because eating makes me feel nauseous though I’m ok most of the time.
And I stopped losing weight after week 6. I ate a small desert and a tiny bit of pasta on Mother’s Day and gained a pound and now I can’t even get that off!
What strength are you on?

I love how my brain chatter about food is GONE. I eat food to nourish my body. That’s it and I can focus on things that really make me happy.
While people who have way more than 20 lbs to lose can’t get the meds. Nice.

I have posted around here before: tried to lose weight starting at the start of this year, found I am insulin resistant and am the heaviest I’ve been in my adult life. (I developed GD and this is a downstream effect of that.)
I did a telemedicine visit in a fit of frustration last weekend and got a prescription for compounded semaglutide. I took my first shot on Thursday. I have lost TWO pounds and my stomach already looks smaller. The increased/enhanced satiety is real and I understand that sema decreases inflammation. My blood sugar was also at a normal level this morning whereas I’d been experiencing the dawn effect previously despite cutting out sugar, gluten, etc.
I’m brand new to this but from where I’m sitting this is a miracle drug.

Currently a size 8, sometimes a 6. Was a 12 before.
Lost 40 lbs over the course of a year, currently on a maintenance dose. I might try to lose a few more lbs over the next year but working on maintaining right now.

Started with Mounjaro at the beginning of August 2023. Saw an instant change in food noise. Suddenly, eating healthy became easy. Before the medication, thoughts about food and trying to make good choices consumed a significant amount of my energy. The medication created mental space to focus on healthy eating and increased movement.
I had a bit of a break from the medication at the beginning of this year when my insurance stopped covering Mounjaro. Currently using the discount card to pay for Zepbound.
My weight loss has slowed in recent months, but I keep losing steadily. Physically, I was absolutely miserable at my SW and though I tried to walk/exercise, it was a slog. As the pounds have come off, I've increased my activity, both in duration and intensity.
