I love boy shorts and swim skirts. I take care of myself but am curvy and like to move around without feeling like I’m about to flash everyone.
I don’t like to show my pubic hair and I have an enormous bush. So if I don’t want to shave my bikini line (and I almost never want to), shorts are necessary.
Omg! I had no idea that people didn’t trim. I know that not everyone likes to shave but I thought everyone trimmed at least with scissors.

A bush? No waxing? How old are you
OP here. When you wax the hair grows back and it is visible for a bit while it grows long enough to wax again. Typical bathing suits are fundamentally inconvenient for a large percentage of women. If you don't wear a swimsuit that often it's NBD. But we plan to be hanging out a lot at the pool this summer. I have other things to do. Perfectly timing my bikini waxes will not be my priority.
DP and this is me, too. I wax my bikini line regularly, but there’s not much to be done about the regrowth period besides wear shorts. I have pale skin and dark hair, so it’s definitely noticeable, and I refuse to shave that area because of the itch/razorburn factor. If laser hair removal was in my budget, I’d totally do that!
Obv only do if you want to - but I got one of those Braun IPL devices to use on my bikini line (have brown hair, light skin, and fast-growing hair that gets ingrown easily). It's worked so much better than I expected. I've been using it - a lot at first, now occasionally - for maybe six months. Anyway, those are like $350 and I think worth the $.

they aren't shorts, then, or their public hair is like 4" long?
