Can you handle the commute to DCSC practices? If so, much clearer path there to #1 team at a young age if that is your goal. The practices may be more competitive (development). It is a good club. However, depending on the depth of the 2015B group at Arlington and DC's level, the Arlington Silver team could be a good, competitive environment for development.
Arlington tends to lock in players to tiers at very young ages and stick to it. Part of it is that there are just so many players trying out at a young age (hard to get a handle on it). Plus, they get a lot of new players externally and at Arlington the tie-breaker goes to external players for placement onto higher teams. Even if your DC develops, you will have a hard road getting them advanced to higher tier teams, but not impossible. Ironically, going to DCSC at a young age may put you into better position for placement on a higher Arlington team down the road (again, if that is your goal).

We know a few players going to Arlington. Some were ECNL offers made months ago, some are recent RL offers.
The ECNL players were ones who didn’t make Union, but wanted to keep playing ECNL. Given how far away VDA and Loudoun are, Arlington was the obvious choice. Arlington got their pick of players here, with most of the remainder going to SYC or FCV.
The RL offers were for players less worried about the league, but wanted both a short drive and to play for a strong team. They opted to go to Arlington RL over MYS RL due to team strength. Should give Arlington RL a bit of a bump, but we’re not talking about massive amounts of players. Some went to other, strong RL teams nearby instead.

Yes, i got new info. I don’t know how many top teams it applies to though, so some could be filled. I can say that others’ concerns about the downstream impact of our neighbors’ merger on Arlington is real. Sorry to be so vague. I’m not trolling, unlike the person on another thread with an ‘elite’ 5 year old. People bit hard on that one. 🤣🤣
Any idea why that is or anticipated timing for the rest of the teams?

- only after that will they start rolling out offers for non-top team spots. An earlier mass email said everyone will hear by May 22 (I think) but I’m not confident that date will stick.
We are reasonably confident in our assumptions and are planning accordingly based on them, but it’s the internet so take it with a grain of salt.
