The issue is not about the validity of finding effeminate men unattractive as romantic partners.
The issue is judging and ascribing gender roles based on one's beverage choice.

Weird comment on a totally normal drink. Is it the lemon wedge? A lemon wedge screams gay to you? (I say this because we all know what "feminine" means."
Vodka on the rocks is far more masculine than vodka soda plus a lemon wedge. And also, Grey Goose means you’re not an unsophisticated miser who wants bargain brand Tito’s. Grey Goose on the rocks is a perfectly acceptable drink order for a masculine man.

Fine value vodka for at home and throwing parties. Is it worth name dropping in public, on a first date no less? No.
Specifying what brand you want is not “name-dropping”. Jfc
Just let them make it with their house vodka. Tito’s is basically just a “good” bottom shelf vodka. It is certainly not worth revealing yourself to be a cheapskate rube on a first date. I’m sorry to be the bearer of this news.

I haven’t heard ‘double’ since college. Do people really order doubles in nice places? In my experience, most nice restaurants and country clubs already serve very strong drinks as standard.

Vodka soda is super common amongst women (counting their calories). It is a girlie drink choice and you know it.
And specifying Tito’s, a bargain/value vodka, at a nice place looks prole if nothing else. If you’re trying to make a good first impression on a date and prefer a vodka cocktail, at least make it Ketel One or Grey Goose. If you consume two drinks, that’s an insignificant sum of money.
