If you find yourself walking alone I’d recommend getting a puppy ASAP. They are a joy.

My “working prime man” DH goes for walks all the time (he rucks on the trails near our house). Or sometimes he goes on walks to pick us up dinner or other quick errands. It’s so normal where I live to see people out on foot that I never even think about whether they’re a man, have a dog, etc.

I live in Arlington and the trails and sidewalks are filled with walkers without dogs---and joggers.

I walk without a dog all the time. Why would I bring a needy animal on an enjoyable walk?
