Listening to Stevie Nicks, whom I adore, now is painful. And she can barely move on the stage.

I heard Ann and Nancy Wilson on Howard Stern yesterday, both talking and singing. They both sounded out of breath.

Washed up performers is a thing forever. Chuck Berry played my high school with a $2 dollar ticket.

There are some older performers who still sound amazing:

The Eagles
Kenny Loggins
Bruce Springsteen
Even Elton John sounded good when we saw him a couple of years ago. He can’t hit the high notes so he tweaked the melody.

For those who think it’s “hilarious” to hear about older performers’ infirmities, that just shows how immature you are, regardless of your age. Performers keep going for all sorts of reasons and you are free to avoid their concerts if you want. If you do the math and figure out a performer’s age, you can decide whether to take a chance on that show. While I’m not interested in seeing Madonna gyrate and, yes , I think it would look odd, I am a little impressed that most of these people are still putting themselves out there.

Most of us have not been shocked by Madonna in over 40 years, truly. Some people love her show sure....others not so much. And she's also being sued for starting her Brooklyn show two hours late. So yea, she's not on everyone's A list. A lot of people can't stand her and never could. Also... See the wise words of Cher several years ago "She's just mean."

Obscure, but I saw Alejandro Escovedo recently. He was amaaazing. Really rocked. 73 years old.

Not obscure. Alejandro E is immensely talented. Did not realize he was in 70s.

He’s way more obscure than he should be! Try to catch him live.

I don’t go to any concerts (although I’m a little sad I never made it to a Mika or DBSK concert when I was younger), but I don’t see the issue with older musicians performing if they want to and can afford it. No one’s forcing us to go hear/see them after all.

Older artists who keep their shows simple - some swaying/light moving to the beat and walking the stage - are still able to sing their iconic songs without any issues and sound just as great.

So jealous you saw Madonna in concert when shebwas younger!!! I saw her most recent one when she came here and hated it. These a few old ones the ones on YouTube and they looked magical

I also think he lips syncs and saw him(front row) perform when he was a spry early 80s. His lips do not move and the back up singers do all the 4 seasons signature dance moves as he waves his hands.
Paul Anka (go ask pop-pop) is still touring, so is Johnny Mathis who is still able to sing except for the few forgotten lyrics.

There’s even a guy claiming to be from Frankie’s band that swears that he’s not lip synching. Meanwhile, half the time the microphone is not even near his mouth, his lips aren’t moving, yet he’s somehow able to still hit all those high notes.l like he’s 20. When he talks to the audience in between songs he mumbles and seems frail. Yet, again, he’s somehow able to pull off “singing” and sounding near perfect for 2 hours. My mom, who is the same age (90), can’t even talk for two minutes without being winded. Yet, Frankie has a full concert schedule for 2024! If people want to pay to look at Frankie, that’s fine, but otherwise it’s a tribute band playing Frankie’s recorded vocals.

Dolly Parton still preforms time to time and I think it's great. I think my problem with Madonna is her music hasn't matured as she has, but idk how that would have even worked.

I think Jon bon jovi should stop. He's only damaging his voice more at this point
