While I 100% agree with you, I would love to hear the uproar over prioritizing people like me. Can I get some assistance for a change? I've never attended a public school, neither have my kids, I don't utilize public rec centers, libraries, pools, etc. I couldn't be a better citizen, financially speaking, but yet I am the problem and the crackheads having kids get the funding.

So? What kind of weird expectation is it that everyone should become a CEO? If everyone's a CEO then who does the work? CEO's are grossly overpaid and overrated for the most part, anyhow. And do you think businesses want to teach people from scratch? Many jobs need you to at least be able to read, do basic math and so on. An electrician needs to be able to read and understand electrical codes, permits, installation instructions and so on, and to be able to do enough math to size components, calculate a bill of materials and so on. Illiterate people are useless to many employers. And if you think things are expensive now think of how much more expensive things will get when employers have to spend a big chunk of time educating people before they are even usable as employees? What a really dumb take you have that we should abolish schools and have business teach everyone.

I agree. And now there is precedence so hopefully the parents can also be charged. this nation needs a few cases to scare the pants off negligent parents to start putting in serious effort to parent their kids.
