Why do you feel like this person owes you anything? If they let in every charity that asks for free promotion the group would be flooded and the experience would be awful. Do you think you’re special? That your one charity should be selected out of all others. Grow up. She’s a business like any business…most don’t let charities advertise for free. The expectations of this person are really unfair.

The problem is she doesn’t represent herself in that way. She represents it as a group for moms to support each other, have get togethers etc…
Why do people ask for recommendations in moms groups? Because they want actual real life recommendations of places other moms have used and have had positive experiences with. Asking for a rec in that group you are getting whatever business in that category is currently paying her. So what’s the point of the recommendation? It has absolutely no validity behind it. That’s one of ways moms support each other-by helping each other out when they have questions about goods, services, healthcare etc…and she is still representing the group that way but it’s not actually what’s happening.
Yes she does. Have you even bothered to read the about us section of her group? Also...she may call attention to her paid advertisers as a recommendation, but the rest of the comments are others answering with their recommendations, so I fail to see what the issue is here, other than you being jealous you didn't think of it first.
If you aren't paying, she refuses recommendations. It has to be paid advertising only.

It’s the parenting advice for me. She always loves to give parenting advice. And as another poster said, she had one child who is preschool age and seems just like a generally easy kid to parent. Her husband is seemingly always around and she seems like she has a lot of family around to help. She acts like she is some kind of parenting expert. She reminds me of many first time moms that get a naturally easy kid and have no idea what they are talking about. Typically though, those moms go on to have a second kid and realize it wasn’t their amazing awesome parenting that caused the first one to be easy-it was just luck. Then they are humbled and suddenly can relate to all the things other parents talk about.
She is so awful. As someone else sad, the constant recommendations for medical providers that don’t take insurance…you know when she posts these pictures of her in a dental chair at one such provider she has convinced them to give her services for free in turn for advertisements. It’s gross.
Her husband is around as this is her business. She will not let any free ads, even PTA/PTO ads to help out schools. She once told me I don't work for free, so why should she. I was working for free for the PTA so it was a bizzare comment. No one gets paid in PTA's. All her recommendations are because she is paid to make them as they are her sponsors. I wouldn't trust anyone or anything in that group.
