Not sure about the middle school. I would contact the AD if you have questions about sports. He is very engaged and a nice guy.

How are they fielding 3 full teams for sports with only 103 kids? They appear to have at least 25 girls on their MS volleyball team alone. Do they have kids playing more than one sport? Or do they have a mixed middle and high school team?

If you can wait and see how the next two years play out at SSFS before applying, that might be the prudent move.

I don't know what the final tally was at the start of the school year but back in July 158 students were confirmed for upper school and 103 for middle school. My hunch is that they started the year slightly higher in both. Even with the drop in enrollment that they seem to be actively building back up, they were still able to field their fall team sports and it looks like winter sports will be the same.

This may be due to the fact that up until this year SSFS was larger. After a sudden closure announcement in the spring and the community rallying to save the school it is now smaller and rebuilding.

We're a LS family planning to stay through graduation. Our child has thrived the past few years and I imagine our experience will only get better as things settle.

We chose SSFS and SO happy with our decision. We love the inclusive environment, the supportive teachers, and plan to stay for our student’s full academic career.

8th grade DS family staying as well. We actually looked around to make sure we were staying now just out of inertia and really feel like no place has the special sauce SSFS has for our kid, at least. It's not perfect (because it's middle school IMO and good on you if you know a perfect middle school) but our kid is happy and the teachers have been fantastic.
