Because sometimes women become pregnant with a baby that is fathered by another man during marriage. Men should not have to take responsibility for another man’s child.

More frequently, men impregnate a woman other than their wife and why should his wife have to pay for his bastard with another woman?

Make good choices when choosing a husband. Any child conceived with his sperm should be supported financially by him.

We were discussing why this law was enacted. It's supposedly to protect the right of the child once born and ensure that there is a father who will support that child financially.

It creates new financial responsibilities; thus court orders that spell out exactly what those will be.

It’s an unborn child that needs custody orders and orders of financial support to ensure both parents financially are responsible for the newborn.

Why are people mad that a newborn has custody and financial orders? If the mother is on any benefits provided by the government, we need to ensure the father is paying his share. Men can’t just walk away financially from their child.
