OP, what are you wearing to the wedding itself?

I'd go for something in more neutral colors, not a white background and not the black backgrounds either. No high slits either, you want to look appropriate and sophisticated, both sitting and standing.

I wouldn't wear it in case there is even a hint of mom doesn't want to give up son.

Beautiful dress, OP, but I would keep looking.

Assuming it’s a spring or summer wedding, this dress is perfect.

I actually think it woudl be better to wear this to the actual wedding - lots of brides wear white-themes for their rehearsal dinner.
