However, the question is why can MCPS do about keeping our students and staff safe. Hire more security, bring back SRO's, security camera's, metal and other detectors to start with. Then, start suspending and expelling violent kids.

SROs which are now actually Community Engagement Officers are not going to be coming back anytime soon. There is a shortage of MPD Patrol officers so let’s think differently about ideas to help.

One could say it’s almost like the police have used and abused their position of authority against many people for years, essentially abandoning the rule of law to which they were sworn to uphold. For years people kept saying this was true and complaining but were dismissed until video after video after and investigation after investigation surfaced proving the complaints were true.

Now that we’ve dispensed with the BS and understand that there are bad apples and good apples in all things can we actually focus on solutions that work with where we are in this reality.

If we could make schools more like prisons, people would hate it and we could stop spending all this money on public education.
