My development delay/speech delay kid joins K this fall. I think she has accomplished 50% of her IEP K academic goals ( the goals were setup from January 2024) on counting 1 to 30 & some phonics. She gets 20 min daily push in for math (not sure 1:1 or small group) & 20 min daily push in for literacy (not sure 1:1 or small group)from homeroom teacher & maybe 20 min/week in total pull out for group speech. She mixes up all prounouns, tenses, positional words and does not have enough volcabularies to express complicated thoughts.She daydreams and needs to draw attention. She seems to be happy at K but she does not remember any new kids name or what teachers teach. She misses her preschool friends a lot.
The school just starts, so no IEP service has been in place yet. She has adhd and provisional autism diagnosis outside of school, but IEP put developmental delay on IEP report. We are in Maryland.
