To the Pp Asians have never masked other than for SARS decades ago.

What a load of horse manure. Asians would mask long before covid, either because of pollution or because they were sick and wanted to prevent spread. I've traveled extensively to Asia over the last 25 years and am Asian. People would mask in Thailand all the way to Japan as long ago as 2000. Saw them alllll the time. Nothing wrong with stating it.

+1
Lived in Korea for years and masking was common even 20 ago.

If you saw my family (3 of us) with masks on a recent flight back to DCA it’s because we had Covid. You should be thankful people like us are wearing masks.

Thank you. Truly. I appreciate the consideration (which seems to be in limited supply these days). I hope you're all well soon!

I saw a big increase over winter break of masks in the airport. The summer and fall I hardly saw any, but last week plenty of masks on my flight.

Hmm, I flew over winter break as well but didn’t notice an increase. I hope that what you saw isn’’t an increase in people who feel sick and are flying anyway and thinking masking makes it ok.

What do you expect them to do? People have lives, people get sick. And newsflash - people TRAVEL WHEN SICK. This is nothing new. But apparently 2020 brainwashed you in to thinking that no one can fly when they are sick. What do you expect them to do? They could be traveling for a multitude of reasons - and who has the money/desire/time to extend a trip to 'quarantine' (lol) in a hotel just so they don't fly when sick? Please.

Anonymous wrote:Yes, I plan to mask on planes from now on. Since masking, I haven't caught any of the viral travel illnesses I usually catch, so definitely masking on planes, in airports and on public transportation as much as possible.

Same.
