It isn’t enough. The dishwasher does poor job with cups like these. You need to be taking about the lid, the tab piece, the straw and cleaning them individually (narrow brush for straw) and letting them fully dry. And people are lazy…especially teens. As long as it looks cool, who cares if there is mold growing

Exactly, who DOES actually care? A tiny amount of mold that may grow in a straw is completely irrelevant.

My coffee can still be too hot for me hours later in the zoshiruchi. I haven’t found anything that comes close.

No my kid thinks they’re overpriced and not useful. It leaks, has a hard to clean straw etc. I even suggested it for Christmas when I was searching for ideas and it was a No.

My teens have hydroflask, Stanley and Owala and while they rotate them, Owala seems to be the current favorite - it’s also the newest. I had not heard of them either until my kids got them as gifts.

My kids’ school only allows water bottles that seal (no straw cups like Stanley because they kept getting knocked over and spilled) and the Owala free sip seems to be the trend now. Stanleys are for moms.

I use a plastic Owala for the gym but their metal bottles don’t fit in my standard Toyota cupholders and after a while the lids got hard to close—needed a ton of force for them to snap shut.
