I am reluctantly switching to an iphone because 99% of people I text with have iphones. I intend to do a deep dive on settings to have as much privacy as possible, especially disabling the read/responding notifications.
You are not judged because you have an android, but it is annoying that most people seem to have apple and it is difficult at times to communicate with the one android user. Its like the one kid that lives outside of the city. No one wants to drive to their house because it is inconvenient, so they are left out and fade from the group.

I really hate apple for designing their phones to leave out android users. That should be against the law as we all know it’s to claim a monopoly.
Correct. This is the point for apple. And the reason I won't get one.
So your beliefs are more important than your kids social life. Got it.
Yes I have beliefs and values and don't give in for every tech gadget or need to have item. Like my niece who got AF 1s and was shuffling around because she can't "crease" then. Jfc.
I have an android and communicate just fine with apple users. I'm not paying hundreds of dollars for a phone. I'm not contracting with Verizon or any other company that uses Apple to get users, we use a cheaper plan. When my child is adult they can buy their own phone and plan. In the meantime, we use value phones and a budget cell phone service because they work and why pay more?
The fact that you are so aggressive and antagonistic over a literal cell phone brand is bizarre.
She isn’t. You are. You’re unbelievably nasty because you’re a fragile and simple-minded snob. Signed - Apple user
Name calling is so tacky. Do better in 2024!
Do better with your self-awareness, you complete…
You should examine why you are fighting with people on the internet over your preferred cell phone brand.

So why is Apple using outdated technology?
+1 Apple has to keep their closed garden ecosystem because they can't complete otherwise. Worldwide, Android has the greater market share.
OP can argue all day which phone is better, but his kid is going to be excluded from messaging/FaceTiming. If that bothers OP, then change.

I honestly don’t understand why you hate iPhones so much. Once you’re using them, everything pieces together. It’s very easy and seamless. It seems to me that using your Android is what’s causing the issue.

If everyone else has an iPhone then the actual issue is that you don’t. Suck it up, it’s an easy fix.
the actual issue is that Apple acts like a tyrant and doesn't want to be inclusive, which is ironic given their icon has a rainbow in it.
No, that is a different issue.
The issue here is this kid being able to communicate with friends. Suck it up. It’s an easy solution.
they can't communicate as easily because Apple doesn't play nice with android.
Sure, the solution is easy, but it's pricey, and Apple sucks.
Ok. And? You just want to complain about it?
? yea, people come on here to vent and complain. My kids have iphones btw.
Haters gonna hate.
Apple is way better than Android.

Anonymous wrote:I like Android because it's a more open platform and I can add internal memory for far, far less $$$ then an iPhone. Right now I'm walking around with 1Tb of memory on my Android phone. The equivalent with Apple would be $1,500.
