The issue is at 13 some kids only have iPads. A group chat can’t have iPads and androids.

You are not judged because you have an android, but it is annoying that most people seem to have apple and it is difficult at times to communicate with the one android user. Its like the one kid that lives outside of the city. No one wants to drive to their house because it is inconvenient, so they are left out and fade from the group.
More like the one kid who becomes a misfit because of their pouty parents.

My dad has one of the latest Samsung phones and I used to be a dedicated Samsung user but the interface and proprietary stuff you can’t delete that’s part of the screen is annoying. I can’t even use his phone now because it seems complicated maybe pixel is better: the camera on his phone is amazing

I have an android and communicate just fine with apple users. I'm not paying hundreds of dollars for a phone. I'm not contracting with Verizon or any other company that uses Apple to get users, we use a cheaper plan. When my child is adult they can buy their own phone and plan. In the meantime, we use value phones and a budget cell phone service because they work and why pay more?

unfortunately, I agree. But, I think Apple will have to eventually change.
The EU is slowing forcing Apple to play nice with other systems. It will eventually make its way here.

Actually, its not an Apple world. Apple has about 1/3 of the cell phone market and Android has about 2/3s. I like Android because it's a more open platform and I can add internal memory for far, far less $$$ then an iPhone. Right now I'm walking around with 1Tb of memory on my Android phone. The equivalent with Apple would be $1,500.
