Except there are millions of more passenger cars than big rigs, and freight trucks aren't allowed to drive all throughout neighbors and many local roads.

And this might shock you, but the Rivian + Nissan Titan + Silverado are all stupid vehicles. It's possible that multiple bad vehicles can exist simultaneously.

DP, they weigh in the same range. 7200-7700 lbs excursion, 7100lbs rs1.


The rivian is heavier by almost 1000 lbs.

Rich who can afford a $100,000 SUV charge at home (and office) 99% of the time. Only the poor rental class who have to worry about public chargers and poor people can't afford a $100,000 SUV. Either way, I believe Rivians can piggyback on Tesla Superchargers now or in the very near future.

It’s being built out with a concentration on more out of the way areas, but also high traffic zones (there’s now 2 between DC and NYC for example). Rivians currently use CCS so can charge at any compatible charger, not just Rivian branded, although Rivian branded are more reliable. Soon they can use superchargers too.

Imagine an 8500+ lbs Rivian accidentally running a stop sign at 25 mph and hitting a small kid crossing the street. Now compare that same incident to someone driving a 3250 lbs Honda Accord. The Rivian has a gargantuan 2.61x more mass than the Honda Accord.

Let me spell it out for you in simple terms: to transfer the same amount of momentum into a child as the Rivian going 25 mph, the Honda Accord would have to be traveling at 65+ mph in the neighborhood!

How many people would be outraged at a car traveling 65 mph through their neighborhood streets where their kids play? Quite ironic that's outrageous yet the Honda Accord going 65 mph in a neighborhood has the same momentum as a fat Rivian going only 25 mph.


These cars are ridiculously sized and an extreme danger. The worst part is they Rivian owners pay $0 in taxes to maintain our roads yet they do the most damage to them per driver becise of their extreme mass. At least with stupidly sized ICE SUVs They require more gas so end up getting taxed more. They contribute proportionally to the amount of damage they inflict on roads. Rivian owners are freeloading deadbeats, and they're dangerous for everyone else around them.

Rivians are lethal killing machines that are the worst on the road. And they pay $0 in taxes to contribute to maintenance.

All they know is EV’s (other than Tesla, now) are the hip cars that all the cool kids are driving. That’s all that matters.
