I have olive white skin skin. I had a baby face which now has thinned out to look like high cheekbones. I’m in shape and avoid the sun.
Both things can be true. What 40-50 used to look like was like a granny with a short hair cut and overweight. If you don’t look like that you already look good. Then of on top of that you have good genetics, you can been seen as younger. Sadly though, only for so long. I probably can only pull off late 20s until my 40s and then I’m on 30s and so on. At some point, you just age and it sucks!

The rest of you, you look 45. Trust me. You do. I myself look great. But 45.
Exactly! They look like 45 year old women who take are if themselves and haven’t let themselves go. Not someone who is 35, no matter how thin and fit they are, hate dye they use, how much they’re stayed out of the sun, Botox, tret sunscreen, etc.
Ladies, you still look your age but just like you have maintained your appearance. At least to other women…I think some ( straight ) men may assume you are younger because they are generally simpletons when it comes to these things.

Yep. Agree with this. I'm 49 and live in NW DC. My kids attend two different "Big3" or top privates. I probably know 300 women in their 40s and 50s and almost all are affluent, trim, and have kept up with all preventative and corrective maintenance. They're all races and nationalities. I can tell you that 99.99% of them look their age--which I mean they look within the correct decade of their age or within 5 years of their age. Many look GREAT! for their age. But no one looks 30. They just don't.
I don't---although I'm thin, toned, take estrogen daily and have great skin and no menopause body, good hair, light Botox. But I don't look like my 30 year old self.
I have people all the time say "oh, you don't look 50!" but it means I don't look like their idea of a grandmotherly 50. Or their mom at 50. Because usually these people are in their 20s or 30s and when they think 50, they think "old lady in rhinestones and elastic waist pants and Christmas sweaters." That's not me (or anyone of my age these days) but it doesn't mean I look 30.
Ha, earlier poster and same, also with kids at various “big 3” schools. These ladies are at thr top of their game, folks. And they look their age. Even the gasp! Ones with melanin. Also, if you are dying your hair very dark past like 35, stop. It is horrifically aging. No matter what you may think.
Wow. I guess Asians, Latinas, and blacks should start going blond at 36 according to you.

Anonymous wrote:To everyone crowing about "no wrinkles". I hate to break it to you, but wrinkles are not the only marker of aging. Loss of facial fat, skin laxity, the beginnings of jowls and nasolabial folds, neck bands, etc... these things give away your age even if your hair isn't white and your skin is smooth. Post-menopause, add a thicker middle to that list. I have yet to meet a person over 50 of any race that doesn't have at least some of the items that I listed.
