This is a weird thing to be upset about.

My sons are 22 and 19. No tattoos. They've told me they have no desire for them.

My adult sons do not. They promised me not to get one.

My adult children do not. They've seen how horrible they look on their older white-trash relatives. They don't age well.

True story. I went to a nail salon. Two women heavily tatooed women were getting their nails done.
One had a son with them who was about 3-1/2 years old.

Kid had no shoes, no socks, and his feet were filthy and dirty. It was in the 40's.

Went to my first tattoo party at 18 in (gasp!) DC.

I saw a young woman with a feather on her thigh get kicked out of an onsen in Tokyo this week. A great experience that she missed out on.

As an aesthetic, in a place on the body that is displayed to the public, I just wish people would think it through.

Considering their permanence, IMO the worst are tattoos that seem so random - splotches of them here and there all over the legs & arms. A flower here, a band name there, a series of geometric patterns there...and the "art" is simply are not done well.

The most creative tattoo I saw was on a woman who had simples lines down the back of each leg ending in a small rectangle at the ankle, simulating the old-style stockings with seams. Very tasteful.

My previous town in south didn't allow any shops selling alcohol, fire arms, tattoo, sex, fireworks, drugs or tobacco products. They've everything now.

You don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.
