I’ve seen Dolly perform in person - doing a 3 hr show - in 4 or 5 inch stilettos. I am talking 5 yrs ago, when she was 72. I can’t stand (or dance, perform, or anything) in a shoe like that for longer than 45 minutes and I am only 40. I started get knee pain and back pain from even boring 2 inch sensible office high heels by 30. And she’s done it nearly night for decades! If she needs a little support from a railing to keep her balance at 77 - I mean, it’s been an Olympic feat.
