I'm going to take a full season to see how I do with this piece before taking on any additional ones. I hope all the anti-fur loons are cozy and warm in their Chinese polyester this Thanksgiving.

I'm in my early 40s and I cannot think most men even contemplate the prospects of a woman their age wearing fur because virtually no woman under 60 wears fur. That's how rare it is. Calling it a dealbreaker is one of those errr, ok moment that does make me question his suitability as a prospective date for very different reasons. Assuming I was on the market![]()
That is very interesting. When I wear my furs, I practically have to beat the men off with a stick. Even when I’m with my husband. If we’re at a restaurant or in a store, other men will walk away from their wives (or dates) to walk over to me to compliment my coat. One man offered to buy my coat right there on the spot. Some ask to touch the fur. Men of all ages and races have responded this way to my furs. I have been wearing fur since my early 20s, and am now in my mid 40s.
As it is, my 75 y/o mother has two inherited fur coats from her mother's generation. One was a very expensive mink, the other a lesser quality mink. She used to bring out the big mink for Christmas eve services but hasn't done so in a few years. Who knows what will happen to these. They are gorgeous.
Where exactly do you go wearing a fur? MGM? I can’t think of anywhere else. I wear shearlings by the way, they keep me warm enough and I am broke

Mostly I don’t have any because it’s expensive and it’s not that cold here. But I don’t really have an ethical objection, or at least having one would be inexorably hypocritical of me.
I mean… they’re skinned alive most of the time.

Educated like the posters on this thread?? Hahahaha
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Just curious. Those who are so adamant that fur coats are "gross" and condemn those of us who like them, do you know how all of your clothes are made? How much of it is made in China in deplorable working conditions? Can you guarantee that no one was expoliteed for the clothes you wear?
People have voices. These animals do not. The animals are kept in cages where they can barely walk for their entire lives, only to face murder in brutal ways. Can you stop with the whataboutism? Fur is awful.

I puchased them all second hand for less than $50 each. All are in stunning shape. I wear them regularly dec-march around the dc/va area and no one bats an eye.
