I saw this idea on tiktok but I am doing it for my 10/14 year old girls because I think they’ll love it. This mom said she goes through her camera roll and uploads pictures of her kids she took throughout the year to albums on CVS photo and then prints them so each kid gets an envelope of physical photos of themselves in their stocking each year. I have pics of my kids on vacation, with friends, for fun events, just hanging out, and rather than sitting in my camera roll forever each girl will get a collection of photos of herself throughout the year.

Relatedly, I gave them each disposable cameras 2 years ago and they LOVED them. My 10 year old got a cheap digital camera for spring break this year and a $10 cable that will transfer them from the digital camera to a device. Highly recommend if your kids are like mine and like the “vintage” aspect of lower tech/physical pictures.

My daughter is a tech theater kid, and we got her her own tool kit and tool apron last year. She loved it.

I love that candle warmer lamp! Brilliant. (8:55 here) Adding that to my list for her now.

One year I took Tween on a day trip to NY to see Mean Girls. Dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner and then back on Amtrak home. Big winner gift. (And it was Feb 2020 when we went, so at least we got that in before Covid!).


Not sure what I'm getting my almost-18 year old this year. She says she doesn't need anything. Which is lovely, but probably not actually true.

My 15 yo DD is very into candles, so I got her a pretty candle care set with a snifter and wick trimmer. I picked up a astrology constellation necklace on Amazon during their last prime day that looks good for layering. She's asked for a very oversized sweater and I'll get that. But that's all I have thought of so far!

Another idea for a candle lover is a candle making kit from CandleScience. They have everything you need to make 6 candles that are really professional looking with no skill required. Most of their stuff is geared towards people who make candles to sell, but look at the beginner kits.

Yes they are! There’s no need to make nasty comments because someone said something nice about another kid.

Does your DD have a favorite animal? You could “adopt” one through the WWF. They send you a plushie and a certificate.
