Except when it comes to passing funding?

Are you unhappy with the 12 billion package MAGA will deliver? Does the IRS cut bother you?

Or you could have a clean 12 billion bill and a side of Jew hatred.

Place your bets and votes.

People have the right to protest, and the Republican attempts at trying to chip away at that right are downright scary. DeSantis is talking about punishing people protesting on Florida college campuses. He had the nerve to call it “material support.”

These protests aren’t so benign. You have people holding swastikas, denouncing Jews and supporting Hamas, a terrorist group. I’m a democrat but I agree with DeSantis on this.

That’s free speech. The first amendment is most important when you don’t agree with them.

Also, let’s not forget about the swastika-loving group that supports DeSantis, and all the books about Jewish life that have been pulled from Florida schools.

You think all the congressional democrats immediately come here to sway this obscure set of people? Okay.

Everyone is sure russian trolls swarm the same obscure set of people

So Jews are MAGA now? If you think they support you then voting Republican makes sense. I do wonder how that will work out but I guess we’ll see.

I understand why Democrat extremists are pushing away Jewish voters I just don’t understand why Republicans are an acceptable alternative? Especially while Democrats in office are consistently supporting Israel.

Genuinely asking. I’d like to understand.

I think this crowd care about supporting zionism and not stopping real antisemitism.

That seems to be the real deal.

Because anyone who is truly wiling to shunt aside all else for Israel isn’t making very sound choices.

I agreed with you a month ago. But there is a difference between being critical of Israeli politics, and what is currently happening on the left. Rashida tlaib just tweeted a video of people chanting from the river to the sea- saying it’s “an aspirational call.” It’s an aspirational call to annihilate israel and Jewish people. There is a growing squad comprised of overt anti semites like her. Biden is not an anti semite. But the next generation of democrats are increasingly so. I will vote for biden. But what’s happening in the house amongst democrats, and what will eventually hit the senate, is gravely concerning.

Has Biden been supportive of Israel? What about Anthony Blinken? Chuck Schumer?

They should spend less time sympathizing with Hamas and more time working on gun reform and abortion.

In which case - I see via a quick google search and a scroll through her twitter feed that she’s been criticized by a lot of democrats, actually.
All of whom are more likely to spend time working on gun reform and abortion access than whatever republicans you’d vote for instead.

You’re entitled to your opinion and your vote, I just disagree with this reasoning.

Eventually—give it five to eight years—what happened to the Labour Party in the UK will pretty much happen to the Democratic Party here. That is, a substantial part of the Party will be anti-Israel and/or antisemitic. Starmer was heroically able to root out most of it in the UK, but I am skeptical that a similar-type figure will emerge for the Democrats.

Yes, and some take it further and also hate Jews, period.

Where is the proof of this? This is the mental leap you’re taking that I just don’t follow.
