I agree and have also voted for Sandy. I couldn’t bring myself to vote for 3 at large candidates. The Republicans are too extreme and so angry at the schools. The Dems seemed just in it for the politics or without educational knowledge or too extremely liberal. So I only voted for the guy who is a teacher for the at large candidates.


I voted for Moon. I just don’t see him in it for the politics.


Maybe he has given up on that. He definitely did it for that reason and then pretty much for TJ issues before.

That’s exactly what makes you a politician. I’ll take someone with no donors, please. School board is a side job where you get paid something like $32,000. Who has the time and money to campaign if they aren’t a full on politician?


Fair points, but we still deserve to know what they stand for and let them elaborate on their positions, and you need to be out and about to do it. And to be fair, many local politicians have jobs where they can do both. Like Laura Jane Cohen, who owns a store…which she felt was safe to open during Covid when she felt schools needed to be closed. But I digress.

Unless his strategy was the others were so bad he didn’t have to.
