VA is an anachronism stuck in the 1700s. The state has no business in your marriage or bedroom. Vote to remove these insane laws (especially alimony laws).

My DH didn't have to. His ex admitted that she'd cheated in front of all the attorneys. She walked with a relatively small settlement, no alimony, and 50/50 custody. Virginia is a bit antiquated in this respect, but I don't disagree with the outcome.

Yep. My spouse talked about his best friend and how awful he was about cheating/infidelity, etc. It was like testing the waters and aksi serves to make you think they have some morality-ethics-empathy. They often have a weird disconnect. For example, “I never say anything bad about my wife and always talk highly of her—so therefore I’m there mind they don’t think their cheating is bad or like the other guy’s—because hey- I love my wife.

We also had a running joke about his “mistress”. Well- I’ll be damned he actually had one. It’s a complete mind fkkkk.

Lol…I love how you end with parenting advice. Like there is any good way to monitor your kids phones that will make them into happy and functional adults when their parents are literally showing them every day how to lie, manipulate others, and put up with a crappy relationship.

I have 1-3 and I’m not having an affair. I’m just on a diet, stinky after working out and cranky because of perimenopause. I don’t hide my phone though. But if I were having an affair I’d like to think I’d be smart enough not to use my main phone.

People in affairs are risk takers to begin with. They are much less likely to wear condoms and go with the heat of the moment. My formerly “cautious wife” didn’t even make him wear one the first time they had sex, in our house and they met online.

These aren’t exactly cautious or smart people.
