No really. More like the county cancelled. Churchill students were taking the test before the county told the school to stop

Anonymous wrote:Maybe some schools had less issues once other schools cancelled. It lightened the load for them.
Anonymous wrote:My 10th grader just got home from Blake and told me the testing was actually working okay in their room and they had just started the 2nd module when the school made an announcement that due to the nationwide issues they were going to stop the testing and reschedule for another day. Kind of annoying they didn't get to finish, but I guess they were following instructions they received from MCPS.

And yet MCPS still has not made a systemwide announcement....

How can they do that last minute?
Most of the kids were already there?
Freshman and seniors are not there. That’s 1/2 the school
My freshman is taking the psat today. Or they were
Are all freshman taking it?
Private schools allow the freshman to take PSAT's. Publics do not

Did Poolesville complete the test? Why did it work at Poolesville and not at other schools?
Anonymous wrote:Wow, I’m surprised to see this. The “nationwide issue” was basically server overload of teacher proctors logging in. We’ve had that before with other digital state testing. RM very early on sent teachers a note to just keep refreshing until they got in. We had time built into our schedule anticipating login problems. We also had a homeroom last week to check student devices and do pre-administration, so kids were ready to go. And the staff meeting last week was the online training, so everyone had been verified to be ready. As soon as refreshing got the proctors in to advance the students to start testing, the kids had no issues. I think our room was delayed by only ~15 min with the time outs.

That's not true. Our school made it available to all students. 10th graders were registered automatically and paid for by MCPS. 9th, 11th, and 12th graders could choose to take it but had to pay the registration fees.
Yes, it was the same at our high school as well.
Yet no one is stating who these magical MCPS are.
