We went a few years ago and I remember my son saying “why do we need to make an appointment on your phone to ride a ride. It’s an amusement park, not the dentist, it’s supposed to be fun. You’re supposed to take your time and soak it in, walk around, buy some cotton candy if it looks good, and if something looks fun then you ride it?”
After waiting in a 35 min line to buy a cotton candy and then wondering around head down and glued to the app, mixed with searching frantically or a charger for dying phone, and then waiting in lines for what were basically mobile VR rides I had to agree.
He hasn’t wanted to go back and is really into roller coasters now so last trip had a blast at universal, discovery cove and sea world.

That’s us! Why does it blow your mind? We love everything about it. We stay at a luxury hotel (club level) and have a blast at the parks. It’s our happy place. We’ve taken other vacations with the kids but they don’t have nearly as much fun as they do at Disney. They’re 14 & 16 now and we’ve been going routinely for about the last 12 years.
You need to expose your kid to other things. There's a whole world out there.

You want dirty and run down, stay at a Disney hotel. I can't believe they have audacity to charge those prices for those nasty rooms.

Glorified theme park.

Night and day a better experience.
Experience of what? My kids like the rides. Not many of those on a cruise.
OK, you and your kids have fun spending a huge amount of money for the privilege of standing in the hot sun for an hour and 1/2 staring at the back of some stranger's head for the 2 minute ride.
Anonymous wrote:If you are spending hours in line you’re doing it wrong. We went this summer and could knock out every ride in magic kingdom before dinner without ever waiting more than 15 minutes for a ride. It takes genie +, knowing the app, knowing the lay-out, and knowing which rides get longer lines (and doing them first thing). It’s not for everyone but it makes the trip so much easier.

Do you use the concierge service to bypass the lines? How does Disney club level compare to a four seasons?
Genuinely curious. We spent close to 15k for 4 days last year and I thought it was a waste of money.
Four Seasons is much better than any Disney club level. FS is an actual luxury resort with great dining and FS service.
Four Seasons is building a hotel at WDW. What will you do then?!
As it happens, we do Disney, Europe, Hawaii, etc. We have the money for it, so it’s not a big deal.
They already have a hotel there. That’s what I was talking about. We just stayed there—we have the money for that and Europe and a ride in the Bezos space rocket and a sub trip to the Titanic. Do you have a point?
