That only matters if the league cares. Post covid, they do not

There is a parent who hasn’t coached before who wants their kid to play fcybl. So they are coaching our zip code fcybl team. It seems like I can pay more money and drive all over nova for games to have an inexperienced parent coach, or I can play Rec and have all games at super close by gyms. Dc is very angry with me that I wouldn’t let them try out for fcybl. I don’t understand the appeal.

Falls church city.
Interesting. They must not rely on gym space from Fairfax County-the county only allocates community rec leagues gym space for one hour practice and one hour on weekends for a game per team.
+1. We barely get enough space for our rec teams to get one practice a week from the county. FCC must have its own gym allotment.
How does FCC have the gym space? The number of gyms per kid is the same as Fairfax county- do they just tell other teams and leagues no?
they might get exclusive use of FCC schools gym space and FCC community center gym space, and it might be more gym space than they would get under the Fairfax County formula for the non-segregated/rich parts of the county.
I know in FCYBL, Falls Church teams always had "home" games in Falls Church, and no other Fairfax County team got "home" games scheduled like that.
Fairfax county's crunch is because futsal teams and volleyball teams also use their gyms. Does FCC just give them to basketball teams exclusively ?
+1 they have a community center gym. Great programAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Yes, curious about a rec league with weeknight games! Please share.
