Truly sad, they have no ability or interest in actually governing. They just want chaos and to burn it all down.

It is simply not true that the administration is entirely moderate, and people know that’s not true. To just pick one hot button issue, the Biden administration firmly supports transwomen and transgirls participating in women’s and girls’ sports, something that is opposed by approximately 70% of Americans in polls. That’s not remotely a moderate position from Biden.

I agree that Biden is moderate on some issues, but he’s far to the left on others.


You picked an issue that impacts less than 1 person in every state in the Union. Please do better.

I’m not the PP but why in earth should I make a case for the Republicans? I’m an independent with a history of voting for Democrats (in fact was a registered Democrat for most of my life). I am not voting for either major party next election.

The difference I see between Dems and Rs is that the liberal wing of the Democratic Party is loud and pushy, but not ultimately in charge (for the most part). Their ideas are usually moderated when it comes to actual legislation and official Party policies. Republicans, in contrast, have a loud, pushy conservative wing and their leadership actively pursues the fringe as Party policy (halting Supreme Court confirmation of Scalia's replacement, but rushing through RBG's replacement; enacting forced birth legislation in states throughout the country; working against climate-friendly policies; "addressing" the immigration crisis by separating kids from their parents and putting them in cages).

So, while in theory some of the Dems' more liberal policies are further to the left than my own, the Republicans are so much further to the right as a whole that there isn't really any danger of me voting red. The moderate "middle" leans left, only because the right is so much further from the middle.

Provably false. Democrats care about many issues, including immigration, but to suggest that democrats care more about "open borders" than things like clearn air and water, personal freedoms, and the integrity of voting rights, and a host of other issues is simply crazy talk.

Pretty much. The only thing a GOP voter really cares about is “owning the libs”. Until they get hit with some type of disaster, then they come out of the woodwork with their hand out.

Most of the moderates and independents I have anecdotally talked with don’t think the parties are the same, which is one of the statements where you go wrong from the start. However, they perceive little value in voting for either party. I think there are a lot of people planning to sit the presidential election out.

Concern for people's freedoms and personal medical decisions should be a moderate position. Protecting the earth and healing our climate so parts of the planet aren't uninhabitable for our kids and grandkids should be a moderate position. Yes, before January 6, I thought that. But with so many defending insurrection, I guess we can't call it an everybody position anymore.
