Lisa was a top 50 name the year you were born, and in the top 100 until the 90s. Less popular than it was in the 60s and 70s, but still pretty popular.

Tamara and Tammy were ranked a lot lower, but were also never as popular as Lisa. I suspect there's a lot of regional and demographic preference associated with that name. I've never known a Tammy within 15 years of me (born 1980) unless you count the fictional character of Tammy Taylor, who is probably about 10 years older than me.

Oh, and totally agree about Lisa’s and Sarahs. Lisa’s were shy little kids who grew into entitled, whiny adults that demand everyone listen to their complaints, and that Sarahs are like lukewarm milk.

Katies are totally suss! Omg. What is with them? Insecure overachievers putting it on the rest of us.

That said, I am a Jessica and I think we’re pains in the ass. We’re not as smart as we wish we were, or as pretty, and we don’t make as much money as our parents. Maybe it’s a Jewish thing. We’re fun, though.

I know a few Tammys and they are happy hippie farmer girls and I like them.
