For literotica browse the top lists for whatever category you want and see what kind of stuff strikes your fancy. It won’t be that good, but it will be smut.

Archive of our own has some good stuff too (online). More plot than literotica for the most part, though you could filter to one-shot stories.

There was one I read of a woman who kept an invisible monster in her house that ate her leftover pizza and would ravish (sp?) her in her dreams. It actually wasn't half bad and there were multiple parts and I got sort of invested.

There was one I read of a biologist who decided to mate with the werewolves she was studying.

I read one about a biologist who decided to mate with a plant she was studying (literotica loves horny scientists). Also there are a lot of horny plants out there waiting to mate with lonely women.

I read one about this female scientist who inhales these spore things that turn her into a sexy bimbo. There are all manner of potions and mind control programs and whatever else turning women into sexy bimbos.

After you've exhausted all the "good" stuff on Literotica there's a whole world of catastrophic weirdness. And I indeed have exhausted everything reasonable on Literotica.

I'd love recommendations, too. I have a pretty low tolerance for bad writing and would love to hear about people's favorite authors. As far as the smut level... am open to the range, fade-to-black to much more. Some amount of formula is to be expected but I really like witty banter and decent writing. If I had to pick a favorite sub-genre, I'd probably say the old chick lit stuff: smart and funny.

Hi OP I'll take some recommendations! I loved Fourth Wing and ACOTAR. I find Colleen Hoover to be too contrived. I think I need it to be not total trash novels (although no judgement for those who do not require this!) and I love the fantasy element.

I just started The Serpent and the Wings of Night...any other recs? I could do non fantast but totally uninterested in anything military or war adjacent. Level of smut don't care. Just finished Divine Rivals and that was cute!

OP again! Okay since August I have read...50 books, all smutty. Yes, really. And I just have to say I LOVE this genre. Like before I have only read Kindle Unlimited books, and nearly every single one has been great! I can now write a 1000 page essay on the varying degrees of sex scene details lol. But seriously, I cannot overstate how thrilled I am to be reading SUCH great female characters and how far away from toxic the story lines have been. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The authors I would now add to my list of favorites includes Olivia Hayle, Elsie Silver, Lucy Score.

If you loved her book, you should definitely check out the podcast she co-hosts: Fated Mates. It’ll fill your to-be-read list with the best in the genre.
