No kids and older than you. Not in the demographics for any of those artists. But I on know TS and KP songs, even have an album or two of each. And still don’t know any songs from Rihanna.


Or if I do, I don’t know her to be the artist. I think her Super Bowl appearance she played one song I recognized from a commercial.

lol. We're probably similar age and so this song appeals to my inner adolescent. But no. This song lacks complexity and doesn't touch what Taylor is creating right now.


It also talks about suburban sprawl. That is Taylor’s bread and butter core audience. She wouldn’t dare shade suburbia.

Seems like there are only so many musical notes and combinations in pop music. Maybe most of the great possibilities have been written. I do believe in the 60s, 70s and 80s the artists were a product of much stricter and exacting education. So many more were exposed / trained in classical music and were more sophisticated by their 20s which are the most productive years for musical and science geniuses.

Rihanna is such a boring performer but I do love 'Umbrella' and 'We Found Love'.
