Gay or straight? Immune suppressed or not? Smokers/drinkers? These things matter.

It may be that they are not as accurate, but it would be better than nothing. I absolutely hate that men are the main vectors for HPV and the medical establishment lets the weight of disease and testing fall on women. Maybe if the rates of oral/throat cancer keep increasing in men medicine will eventually stop seeing HPV as a "women's problem."
I know for a fact it exists. In dmv area. My ex boyfriend’s sister got him tested somehow she was a doctor. I recall it was urine culture . It can be PCR from swan or urine
You are wrong. There is no HPV test for men. A urine culture contest for other things other STI’s but not HPV.

No, there is currently no approved test for HPV in men. CDC does not recommend routine testing (also called 'screening') for HPV in men

Guys there ARE hpv tests for men. They are used in studies about hpv. The problem is they aren’t commercially available.

HPV testing isn't standard for well woman visits. Pap smears only detect cervical changes, which are often due to HPV. But you could have very, very new case of HPV that hasn't led to cervical changes yet so it wouldn't register on the pap.
I think Pap smears now do reflexive HPV testing

Of course! How is this a question?
Because the guidance isn’t very clear.
The guidance is very clear. What on earth are you confused about?
Stop being mean. I got vaxxed at age 45 a year ago, but doctors are often not that clear about it. When I asked five years ago, my gyn didn't recommend it. Now she does, probably because it is officially approved for older women now.
I think one issue is that some doctors assume women over forty are not getting exposed to as much std wise. I feel this is SO not true for women who are dating. Online dating makes it very easy for men to sleep around a lot. Even if you are not sleeping around, even if you are not doing online dating, the guy you are may be.
I would go ahead and get vaxxed.
I think men in our age group should be getting vaxxed too. It annoys me they are not. I think it's sexist - like oh it's not a big deal to treat so who cares. To me it DOES sound like a big deal to treat so why aren't we vaccinating everyone? Because HPV doesn't have many repercussions for most men. Though I would still get vaccinated if I was a guy because of throat cancer, penile cancer, and not wanting to be the jerk who gives someone else cancer or warts.
I wasn’t mean at all. If you are dating, you should be vaccinated. No OB/GYN has disputed this even in my 40s.

Not necessarily.
Most people who get HPV will never ever know. It is astonishing a little people know on this site about the most common STI that exists in the United States.
I guess I was asking the opposite- if a male has warts is that HPV always?
