one is classified as terrorists; the other is classified as seditionists. They both get long jail times.

A civil war from the inside. Look up Leonard Leo and his benefactors - most dangerous people in America. Abortion rights might be the final issue that sinks the US.
Americans are very divided on many issues but abortion rights is not one of them. Percentages in the 70s, maybe even 80s, favor protection of abortion rights.

I see 1/6 differently. All those various Federal agencies and LE forces, and they can't secure the Capitol complex? After 9/11 these guys don't have plans/protocols to secure the doors/entrances and evacuate members of Congress and staff? Once that crowd/mob kept growing the building should have been secured. There is no excuse for the ineptitude of maintaining security of the building.
Obviously bringing over the members of the National Guard from the DC Armory (1.4 mi away) would have been beneficial in creating a perimeter around the building. What about all the Federal agencies in DC, the alphabet soup, FBI, DEA, Customs BP, Park police, ATF, US Marshals....how come these sworn Federal officers didn't muster at the Capitol building. Everyone could see the events unfolding on their tvs/monitors. You didn't need a number equal to the crowd just enough to secure the entrances and begin making arrests. This isn't the focus of the current narrative of 1/6, we don't hold the Federal bureaucracies accountable.
The things that you claim should have been done and would have been obvious were not done because one person controlled the vary law enforcement and national guard resources and he didn't want them involved, to achieve the result that was almost gained. This has all been documented. There were individuals friendly to Trump's intentions in the US Capitol.
