No one has mentioned Sweet Tarts. I loved those as a kid but not a fan as an adult.

Love it! đź’•

Sadly they have not brought back the NECCO conversation hearts. Those were yummy because they were softer than NECCO wafers but with the same dusty sugar taste that I love.

I can get them at Joann’s in Gaithersburg.
Maybe all Joann’s has them!

The local Joann’s used to carry them, but after the NE Candy Co went out of business, they never carried them — even after Spangler took over sad.

Passing by the impulse candy rack at the grocery store I started thinking about the Reese’s peanut butter cup alternative that would sometimes get — Mallow Bars(?) they had marshmallow instead of peanut butter.

LOL. Someone ninja’d me and mentioned Mallo Cups before I got through the most recent posts. -OP

I associate these (and the accompanying giant ball lollypops) with apple picking and beach vacations. Used to love picking out a few, always butterscotch if they had it!

Collard & Bowser butterscotch
Chik o Stiks
Peanut butter bars
Cadbury had these tiny cookies covered in chocolate.

As a kid, I used to get imported candy at the Rodman’s store on Georgia Avenue near Alaska and Kalmia. I got cosmetics too. Rodman’s was a wonderful introduction to European brands.

She also used to serve After Eight mints after holiday dinners. They were very thin mint chocolates in little sleeves.

I loved those After Eight chocolates!

All these old times candies are sold at the MoCo fair. There’s a room just filled with all these candies.

Now I can’t wait to go to the fair and stock up on Charleston Chews, Chuckkes, Circus Peanuts and the rest.

They have those at Cracker Barrel, including the horehound flavor!
