Neither are you, weird Boomer-sequel phone callers!!!!!!!!! Send a freaking text or email like a normal person in 2023.
That’s not quite the sick burn you think it is.
Anonymous wrote:At least with emails you can have a signature line saying what your preferred method of contact is. You could have a phone message saying you hate the phone and to text you or that you will text or email them back. If you hate texting then you can just not respond and they might email or call. Everyone is different. This is probably why people can't make friends because their preferred method of communication does not align. One of my kids' teachers even said he hated the telephone and not to contact him that way.

*Boomer-esque. Thanks, Autocorrect.

I wonder why there's almost a post a day on here by lonely people with no friends. 🤪
Anonymous wrote:So obviously this has nuance, but I think there is something in 2023 really sub optimum about calling someone randomly in the day. I am always in meetings but typically answer in case it’s the kids camp or school. These are all cases where they have email info or could text. Does anyone else find it super non ideal when people just… call? Unless it’s emergent?

I turn off my text messages. If it’s important, you’ll call me. And if I haven’t had an online convo with you in the past year, I delete you from my contacts. Texts are for appt reminders and meet ups. I’ll get to your text when I get to it. It could sit there for a week.

But why?
Does everyone here realize that you are not obligated to answer the phone at that moment?
Is this just for personal calls or are you also not okay with your boss/colleagues calling?

+1
This is a site for socially inept people.
