Sane?
Stipulating that your partner can have no friends of the opposite sex is not sane. That's manipulative and controlling.
+1. You can't have guy friends, you can't post on instagram, you can't wear a bikini, you can't make money in your profession (a profession which is how I met you!)........ for the privilege of having sex with my creepy fat ugly *ss. Um, where do I sign up for that?He wanted to use this "hot" gal for sex and then discard her. He was never going to marry her. The demands he was making are MAYBE something you can ask of your wife. Not a new girlfriend.

I think it's kind of a stretch to call him a nepo baby. His parents are in the entertainment industry but not exactly famous. His mom is a costume designer and his dad is an accountant for entertainment clients. I'm sure it gave him a leg up to know some people in that world, and obviously being rich helps you succeed in any field, but it's not like his parents are movie stars.

Following his rules would be akin to asking her to quit her job and become financially dependent on him after only a few months of dating. Which is creepy and weird.
I still think she should never have released these, but his “boundaries” (not boundaries at all, rules for her life) were not reasonable.
So that means that you shouldn't date Jonah Hill. But he isn't wrong for laying out what he wants in a mate. It's really not that unusual for a rich man to want his spouse to quit her work and be available for him full-time, and many women are happy with that lifestyle. Not my jam, but also not my role to criticize other people's choices.
It would be better for him to find someone who doesn't have a lot going on in their life, then, not someone who is successful in their own right. Women aren't butterflies, to be caught and pinned to a board. Some men are really gross in their attitudes towards women.
I've literally never heard of this lady before. She is a surfing instructor. And no shade on that-- but one of those hobby jobs that often leads to being a SAHM. Men intentionally look for women like this, who don't have a lot of professional drive, because they will adjust easier to SAHM life. Which is fine, and SAHMs are also real people who are not dead bugs on a board. If Jonah had married her and then laid out his expectations, I would agree. But he did it in the early dating phase, which is the right time for her to make an informed choice.
Where are you getting that’s she’s a surfing “instructor”? She’s a competitive surfer and law student.
I think she made money on the side giving lessons? Presumably for hundreds of dollars an hour.
That sounds more like a hard worker with a sense of hustle than a young woman twiddling her thumbs waiting to become a SAHM.

Everything I read was basically just a calm and respectful statement of his “boundaries” in a relationship. Not something I personally would be cool with, but this idea that it was somehow “abusive” is crazy. The ex was free to decide any time if they were a good match or not.
We routinely defend women for having preferences—whether it’s wealth, height, certain type of career, liking or not liking certain hobbies or activities, drinker or non-drinker, etc. And if some MRA incel gets mad about that (surely because he doesn’t fit the criteria), he’s rightly condemned. Women don’t have to give a guy a chance if he’s a short, fat, unemployed pothead who plays video games all day.
JH doesn’t want a girlfriend who poses publicly in bikinis, or frolics in the ocean with other guys. So what? I suspect there are many people, men and women, who would feel uncomfortable with that in their partner.

He did nothing wrong. I doesn’t matter if we agree with his boundaries. He clearly knew what they were, and likewise stated them clearly. Good for him for knowing what he wants.

And nepo baby. I find him disgusting and hate how he's been shoved down our throats for the last 20 years. He's gross.
He and his sister are the poster children for no-talent nepo's who get shoved down America's throat by Hollywood. If their father was not a wealth manager for famous people, we would have never heard of either of them.
