If you are looking for a great private school option for an academically motivated kid, BIM should be on your short list.
Then why dont the Basis kids make a statistical dent on Ivy matriculations like the other schools in the area? I know that is not the only measure of success but it is notable that the other schools do show up to some extent and Basis does not.

50% of BIM seniors go to a Top 25 university. And that is with few athletic recruits and legacies. Those are impressive results.
Most Ivy admissions at the Big 3 consists of athletic recruits and legacies.
Without the college matriculation list, these stats cannot be verified, are easily manipulated, and highly suspicious.
I would just ignore these stats.
The Big 3 don't publish official annual matriculation lists either.
So, the numbers about Big 3 matriculations cannot be verified, are easily manipulated, and highly suspicious.
Accordingly, let's just ignore your comment.

The school is like a private TJ in terms of mathematics and science. We were turned off by the small size of each grade and lack of sports. The students we know who moved from our public AAP to Basis are the brightest, much brighter than the ones we know who moved to STA, NCS, Holton, Landon, Madeira, Potomac, Little Langley and any others. We have seen students leave public because the kids can’t outcompete the smart kids. The ones who go to Basis were at the top and public was too easy for them. I toured Basis several times and my kids would not be able to keep up at Basis.
This reeks of BS.
The type of kid who goes to TJ goes to Basis. My kids are not that type. I can at least give credit where credit is due. My kids are still young so they are not in high school yet.
I don’t see that at all. According to US News, TJ is over 450 students per grade and over 70% Asian. BIM 9-12 is under 50 students per grade (under 35 per grade for 10-12!) and less than 1% Asian. Also, TJ is free and BIM charges tuition. It’s really hard for me to imagine any family being attracted to both schools.

I don't have a kid in the big 3, but even I remember the recent time Jeff caught a Basis person trolling this forum in a very obvious way. This is why nobody trusts a Basis poster.

It would be like asking "Is Devry University as good or better than Princeton." Just obnoxious.

Oh really?
I’m asking not telling.
Their website says the average SAT for the Class of 2022 was 1458, the average ACT was 33, that 50 percent of the class got into a top 25 and that 89 percent got into a top 50. The college list also includes every Ivy, MIT, Cal Tech and Stanford. So I’m asking: how does this compare with the Big 3? Why am I a terrible person simply for asking the question?
I don't know how it stacks up with the Big 3, but I'm not one who pays too much attention to college placement. I just had a kid go through the admissions process and it is so, so much more nuanced than a list can capture. There is no doubt the school is a STEM grinder, but ask someone whose kid goes there what their curriculum lacks and the ECs/sports they don't offer (either due to lack of interest by the student body or the school's choice) that the typical private (or even public) school in this area provides. If comparisions must be made, it probably makes more sense to compare Basis to TJ.
It’s all well and good that you don’t “pay too much attention to college placement,” but this is my thread and that’s the question I asked. I didn’t ask about ECs or anything else.
