This. He is painfully unfunny. Another unfunny SNL dork forced down our throats by the NBC conglomerate, see also Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Pete Davidson.
I am curious who you think IS funny.
+1. Why can’t PP answer this? I can’t take their opinion on Mulaney seriously if I don’t know who they think is funny.

Has anyone else been feeling badly for her? It seems like John Mulaney cheated on her. Such a bummer because I really like his standup, but I hate cheating even more.

You mean that's all SHE can talk about. The tribute to her dog is just another way to use her ex to get press.
The piece does not mention her ex. You should work on your misogyny, it's tiresome.
Readit again. Lots of mentions about the ex, including him sending her into some kind of psychotic break
She talks about how her divorce precipitated a mental health crisis during which she became suicidal and wound up in a mental health facility. That’s not “lots of mentions about the ex,” it’s literally just her writing about her own life.
I thought it was a nice essay about her dog.

What happened to her was pretty dramatic.
Not really. People get divorced and cheated on all the time. Her overall vibe is very Victorian fainting couch.
People get divorced all the time but if your best friend told you that her DH also quickly either cheated or hooked up, got someone pregnant, immediately before/during/after rehab, etc etc. It's a lot.
