The landon US head is leaving to pursue a charity foundation that he started. He's not leaving because of any issue he has with landon; he's a landon alumni and thoroughly loves the school, he's simply pursuing a career outside of education.

Like I said, no one can get rid of all the Google items. Many articles associated with Landon, specific incidents(yes, like SAT, Duke, GH and Slampigs) and many mentions of administrators.

wikiscanner, if it is to believed, turns up some pretty interesting and not too surprising editing from the Landon School server. None of it related to the current fiascos.

[ETA: I realized after I posted that WikiScanner was really only a two-year database of edit tracking, which ends sometime in 2008, so it won't help here. I'm not sure if there is some other WikiScanner-like website that allows for more recent tracking of Wiki edits. I suppose someone could just manually unmask each IP address listed on the Wikipedia history page, but that will require some effort.]

I don't think they can edit away all the google information--the school has been very badly damaged.

Actually, I don't even know how to change something on wikipedia. I was just surprised to see nothing at all about the school's more recent history on wikipedia. I hope Landon's scholarship is more honest than its wikipedia editing.

you must have a lot of time on your hands if you reading about Landon on wikipedia. I guess your one of the many writers on Wikipedia who wants to smear Landon.

I really wonder why so many adults on here continue to attack a school when its down.

Why would you bother checking this forum out. The best thing Landon parents could do is stop fighting against anonymous posters on random web sites and start taking charge of your school. This is never ever going to stop unless there are meaningful changes at the school.

Returning from a weekend away to report that Landon's reputation extends up and down the eastern seaboard. Consensus is that the school and its parents have failed the boys, the boys are louts and nobody wants their daughters dating a Landon kid.

The administration needs to take some action.

great kids and families that don't fall in the categories the majority of these comments want to put them in.

Not everyone at Landon is rich and entitled, or flaunts the law, or does anything, but try and be good people.

The school wouldn't have survived this long if it was as bad as people want to make it.

Landon is a community that offers much on many levels.
It is a shame that people will blame the entire system for the flaws of a few.
