This is a bit insensitive to the millions of people who died from Covid, and those that miss them. Covid was a big deal, and there is no denying it.

Once confirmed but who knows really. It’s hard to get good data, but the most recent estimates that I’ve seen are that over 94% of the US has had Covid already. I guess everyone posting here is either in the 6% or has actually had it and never knew.

Why are you fools still worried about COVID? FFS move on. Even your Lord and Saviour Fauci and the holy CDC has moved on

I have a friend who has had it 4x and got long COVID too. It’s so hard to understand hopefully we will some day.

You have to be one of the more delusional and/or ignorant posters I have seen in a long time.

More Americans died from COVID than ANY US war. More than one million died of a disease that did not exist five years ago.

And you think we all over-reacted??

This is Memorial day weekend. How many ceremonies will be held, and statues laid with wreaths to honor our war dead. Think of the most devastating war in your mind.

MORE people died of COVID than any of our wars, Let that sink in (those of you who don't even see it in your rearview mirror???)

I had 2 good friends die of COVID, 2 friends adjacent, my son’s best friends father died.

Zero times. I must be immune as well because I ALWAYS get sick. My husband has had it twice, my child never got it. I wear mask when required, but not always. I have all the vaccines but no extra ones.

I have tested a few times when my family was sick or when I had a cold, always negative.

Zero. I think I’m immune. My entire immediate family has had it twice and I have cared for them (including being vomited on by a confirmed COVID-positive child) and I have frequently tested but never tested positive.

I am not cautious about going out and only mask when required to.

Our entire family got it summer of 2022. But we have many family members who have never had it (one a family of 4 with kids in school and activities). We have 7 grandparent type relatives in our family (70+), and only 2 of them have had it.

Family of 4 - none have ever had it. H and I have gone to work outside the home every day during peak covid - masked up - no issues. Both kids in college - masked no covid. Son plays a sport so was practicing and travelling with team throughout 2020.

My college kids each have had it at least 3 times.

Was the graduation outside or inside?

Both, but I went to and indoor event and the sister of a graduate sat next to me and she was positive.

We all had it once in my family last summer. None of us have masked or taken any precautions since then. We test if we have more serious cold symptoms. Never been positive since.

I also hardly ever think about it anymore.

Oh, sweetheart, sorry to burst your bubble of delusion. However, Covid is still here, still quite serious, and yes, still kills a fair amount of people. Secondly, even mild cases can contribute to blood clots for up to a year. Repeated infections adds to that risk. No, this isn't over, mmkay?

I'll share a story that for most people will hopefully make them feel really positive. I think for some of you like the immediate poster above it will just annoy you in some way but sharing anyway.

My 87 year old father is in a nursing home. They had a recent outbreak of 15 residents and 10 staff. Worst they've had since early pandemic days. They are all fine. No one was even seriously ill. They knew how to handle it and had a plan, residents were treated quickly with paxlovid. The outbreak was contained relatively quickly.

Think of that compared to what was happening in the early days in Seattle area in the nursing homes.
